What to Bring
Bedding and Belongings
We want your dog to be comfortable with us and we have cots and bedding to make them a comfy bed. However, if they have a favorite blanket or towel, you are welcome to send that along. Additionally, please send Kong’s, Kong wobblers, chew bones or puzzle feeders for your dog to enjoy during quiet time. We ask that you don’t bring stuffed or squeaky toys or balls. It is also helpful if you would please mark all items with their name in permanent ink.
Food
We supply bowls, but we ask owners to please bring your dog’s food to ensure they receive a diet they are used to.
Medications
Please bring medications in original containers, as the prescription label allows us to administer the proper dosage. Dogs in our care for an extended period of time should also have refills on file at their respective veterinarians in case the medications run out.
Overnight Stay
Overnight stays are a benefit offered to our regular daycare dogs only. New daycare dogs will be eligible for overnight stays when they become comfortable with daycare, as determined by our trained handlers. This usually takes 2-4 months of coming to daycare 2-4 times per month. Regular monthly daycare is required to maintain that comfort level, in order to continue overnight eligibility.
Through our experience, we’ve learned that developing and maintaining a relationship with our dogs helps DOGHOUSE be their “home away from home”. This supports more successful and comfortable overnight stays.
