Training
Adjustments have been made to class size to ensure proper social distancing. A mask will be required to attend our classes and please bring extra treats for your dog. Thank you!Training your dog is the biggest gift you can give to both you and your dog!
Our DOGHOUSE team is committed to using positive, force-free training techniques that provides you the tools needed to encourage your dog to make positive choices. The key is building a trusting relationship by clear and effective communication through giving appropriate verbal cues and by understanding their body language.
The DOGHOUSE is proud to announce a new, exclusive collaboration with K2K9 LLC and their certified trainers Kathryn Gordon and Kimberly Poisson. Together, we plan to expand our training area and add many new training options. Please visit the K2K9 website for more information and class sign-up.
Once you can trust and communicate with each other, you are open to a world of possibilities surpassing basic obedience. Beyond being well-mannered, your dog can also be engaged in fun and important physical and mental activities including scent work, physical fitness, fun tricks and agility. We partner with only the best, certified training instructors to lead our classes and help you and your dog reach your training goals.DOGHOUSE offers a variety of programs to help you and your dog reach your goals. All of our classes, workshops and behavior consultations are open to all dogs. Participation in daycare is not necessary to benefit from any of these programs.

Workshops –multiple workshops throughout the year covering many topics and issues. Some of these helpful workshops included: Canine Fitness, Cooperative Nail Care, Bite Prevention and Safety, Holiday Survival Guide, and Enrichment Ideas to Burn off Mental Energy.
Behavior Consulting –to address specific issues, other than training, you and your dog may be struggling with. You will consult with a trainer and schedule one on one session either in your home or during daycare at DOGHOUSE.
Training during Daycare –to improve daycare skills or work individually with a trainer or one of our experienced handlers. Sometimes our DOGHOUSE daycare dogs need a little support. Whether learning a skill that is specific to the daycare environment, or working on something, such as loose leash walking, we can schedule time for your dog to have a training session while they are with us for daycare.
Off-Leash Training during Daycare –either in preparation to enjoy off leash activities, or for some individual fun with a handler, our handlers provide a “virtual” off-leash experience with the aid of a long-line, no-restraint leash. This is available for all DOGHOUSE dogs once they have reached Silver level.
